Moody’s: «Spending on AI systems will reach 527 billion in 2027»
A favorable context for software producers, among which Franchetti SpA stands out
NOTA STAMPA - Arzignano (VI) - February 1, 2024
Total spending on AI systems will grow from $76 billion in 2023 to $521 billion in 2027.
The portion set aside for generative AI will rise from $19 billion last year (11% of total spending) to $151 billion in 2027 (29 percent of spending). These are two of the main key points that Moody's analysts highlighted in the AI Outlook 2024.
«AI innovation will develop rapidly in 2024, attracting more users and fostering a vibrant network of hardware vendors and app developers», Moody's continues.
According to the American rating agency’s analysis, the spread of artificial intelligence will occur in several stages. Until 2026, the main stakeholders will be software and semiconductor manufacturers. Among the software houses active in the infrastructure and roads sector is Franchetti Spa, a company listed on the Euronext Growth Milan segment of the Italian Stock Exchange and a leader in the in-house development of artificial intelligence-based software for predictive maintenance of bridges and viaducts.
The company recently created the DIGIROADS suite, which brings together proprietary software dedicated to digitization and optimization in investments in road transport infrastructure, such as Argan©, Pathwork© and Sidecheck©.
Moody's reports also that the spread of AI will interest a wide range of sectors, going beyond infrastructure, such as media, automotive, manufacturing and banking-insurance sectors.
